I'll overwhelm 'legitimate boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua
The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to build hype for next month's bout.
Former two-time world title holder Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth disparity - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Boxer's Mentality
"I will damage his features and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35, stated.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.
"I'm going to seriously aim to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Exchange
In spite of such comments, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually known for his dramatics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul rather targeted ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British opponent Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.
"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Opponent
Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
However, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, frequently receiving substantial earnings.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in round four or five and claimed he would prevent the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly in the works for two years from now.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.
